Had fun painting these glass bottles.

So I'm finally back with that cat I told you about.

:)

I like it.

It turned out pretty well.

Especially the paws.

Sadly, the scanner cut them off a little. 

 On the whole, my best cat yet, however!

Then I tackled a dog.

Turned out looking a little too much like a...
 teddy bear?

But still cute.

And lastly, a forest/river scene.
This was done on an "Artist Trading Card" sized piece of paper, so it's pretty tiny.

I have a couple watercolors to post about too, 

so hopefully I won't be absent for too long.

pen drawings

We have libraries again!

So I took advantage of ours, and got out:

 Painting Your Favorite Animals in Pen, Ink and Watercolor

Pretty neat book. 

I took a fancy to the pen drawings, and decided to copy some of them.

Here are my results:

A rabbit...

And a bird!

I drew them both with a Sakura Micron pen (0.30 line width). 

I enjoyed drawing them so much, that now I'm working on a cat!

I've tried many times to capture a cat's personality, and have never succeeded, so we will see how this one turns out...
